Winning combinations Teamrace (without penalties)

I General considerations:

As the scores of the sailors of both teams engaged in a race sum up to a total of 36 points, an individual team score below 18 or equal to 18 (if the team does not have the first-placed boat) is required to win the race. Often the ranks of first 3 sailors of the team are already sufficient to win the race regardless of the placement of the 4th sailor in the team (maximum score of 8). These combinations are listed below.

II Winning combination of 3 sailors (ranks, the rank of the 4th sailor does not matter)

1, 2, 3

1, 2, 4

1, 2, 5

1, 2, 6

1, 3, 4

1, 3, 5

2, 3, 4

2, 3, 5

III Additional winning combinations of 4 sailors (ranks)

In the additional winning combinations, the 4th sailor of a team must not get last:

1, 3, 6 and 7

1, 4, 5 and 6

1, 4, 5 and 7

2, 3, 6 and 7

2, 4, 5 and 6

2, 4, 5 and 7

3, 4, 5 and 6

Important: The above considerations and winning combinations only hold true under the premise that no penalties (e.g. for jumping the gun without revision, additional 10 point for the team) are imposed.
